What do the different IP ratings mean?

IP44 – Protected against splashing water. Suitable for bathrooms and covered outdoor areas, for example.

IP54 – Protected against dust and splashing water. Good for general use in semi-protected areas.

IP65 – Completely dust-tight and protected against water jets. Suitable for outdoor use and demanding conditions.

IP66 – Completely dust-tight and resistant to powerful water jets. Excellent for outdoor and industrial use.

IP67 – Dust-tight and resistant to temporary immersion in water. Suitable for particularly demanding conditions.
